Application are invited from Indian Citizen in the prescribed standard form as published in Assam Gazetted part-IX from the intending eligible candidates for filling up:

Name of the Post: Junior Assistant

No of posts: 5 (UR: 2, OBC/MOBC: 2, ST {P}:1)

Office of the District Fishery Dev. Officer Kamrup, Guwahati: 3 Nos. posts

Office of the Sub-Divisional Fishery Dev. Officer, Rangia: 2 nos. post
Qualification: Minimum Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University. Proficiency in Computer Typing both English and Assamese.

Pay scale: 14,000/ – to 60,500/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6,200/- pm plus other allowances

Age: 18 to 38 years on 01.07.2019. Relaxation of age for SC/ST is 5 years & OBC/MOBC is 3 years as per Govt. rules. In case of PWD the upper age limit is applicable as per Govt.

Mode of Selection: Phase-I: Multiple Choice Written test

Phase-II: After the written test, the short listed candidates will have to appear to appear in a Computer Practical test which will be notified in due course of time. They will have to bring all the original testimonials i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificate, Computer Proficiency Certificate, PWD etc.

How to apply: Offline/ Standard form

The application must be accompanied by the following-

(a) Self attested copies of all certificates/ Mark Sheets of educational and other qualifications, age, caste along with other testimonials including valid Employment Registration card.

(b) Affix 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs in the application form. The application will enclose a self-addressed envelope size (22 cm x 10 cm), affixing postal stamp of Rs. 10/- along with the application.

Candidate /applicants will have to superscribe the name of the post applied at the Top of the scaled envelope carrying the application form and.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 49000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.7,400/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt of Assam.

Age: 21 years to 43 years as on 01/01/2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates and 2 years for Ex- Serviceman.


Educational qualification:

a. Diploma in Library Science or above from a recognized University.


b. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in a library belonging to Government organisation and having knowledge of Library management.


2. Library Assistant

Nos. of vacancy: 2 (two) [UR-1, STP1]

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 49000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.6,200/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt of Assam.

Age: 21 years to 43 years as on 01/01/2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates and 2 years for Ex- Serviceman.

Educational qualification:

a. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary examinations in any stream from a recognized University/Council/ Board and having a Diploma in Library Science or its equivalent from a recognized institute.

b. Preference will be given to candidates possessing additional qualifications especially in Library Science.

c. Must have experience in using computer and computer applications, working with library software and digital library management systems.

3. Junior Assistant

Nos. of vacancy: 1 (one) [OBC/MOBC]

Scale of Pay: Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 49000/- PM (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs.6,200/- PM Plus other allowances as per rules of the Govt of Assam.

Age: 21 years to 43 years as on 01/01/2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates and 2 years for Ex- Serviceman.

Educational qualification:

a. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government.

b. Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum six (6) months diploma in basic computer skills or equivalent.


How to apply: Applicants should submit their applications along with photocopies of all testimonials duly self attested regarding qualifications, age, caste certificate (in caste of reserved category), employment exchange registration card and two recent passport size photograph of the candidate with his/her full signature.

A self addressed envelope of 10’X4.5’ affixing postal stamp of Rs. 5/- (clearly write in the envelop with details postal address of the candidates) must be enclosed with the application.
